Rewind

Rewind: get your data back

Every change is saved, so a mistake is never the end of the story.

  • Continuous backups

    Every change is saved to your storage, at most about a minute behind, plus a full backup every week and a smaller one every night.

  • Restore a copy to any second

    Pick any second in your recovery window and Rowsafe restores a copy of the database as it was then, next to production, which keeps running.

  • Compare with production

    See, table by table, which rows are missing, changed or new since that moment.

  • Bring back deleted rows

    Put back only the rows you lost from the copy. Everything written since stays, and a Mark is saved first.

  • Rewind the whole database, with undo

    For the worst day: take the live database back to a moment. What was written after is kept aside for 7 days, so you can undo.

  • Find the moment

    Not sure when the rows disappeared? Rowsafe lists every big delete, update, emptied or dropped table with its exact time, so you rewind to just before it.

  • Marks

    Give a moment a name, like before-migration-42, before a risky change, and rewind to exactly that point later.

  • Files and uploads

    Back up the folders that go with a database, such as uploads, and bring files back as they were at the same moment as the rows.

  • A second copy, and what storage costs

    Keep your backups in a second bucket at another provider too, and see what each one costs a month.

  • Your own bucket, your own key

    Backups are encrypted on your server with a passphrase only you hold, then kept in your Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, Amazon S3 or other S3-compatible bucket.

Proof: backups you know will restore

A backup you've never restored is a hope. Rowsafe checks yours every week.

  • A restore test every week

    Every Sunday Rowsafe restores your latest backup and every change since on your server, starts it, checks every database, then deletes the copy.

  • An alert if it fails

    A failed or overdue test reaches you by email, Slack, Discord or webhook. Each result shows how long the restore took, your best guess for a real one.

Pulse

Pulse: see trouble coming

Rowsafe watches your database and fixes most of what it finds when you click.

  • Health score and Apply fix

    A score from 0 to 100 with each problem in plain words, and an Apply fix button for most of them. Nothing runs until you confirm.

  • Alerts and the weekly Pulse email

    A heads-up days before the disk fills, missed backups, blocked queries and more, by email, Slack, Discord or webhook, and a short summary every Monday.

  • Slow queries

    The queries that take the most time, and the ones that got slower this week.

  • Recommendations, with indexes proven on a copy

    What would make the database faster or safer, with what it costs. New indexes are tested on a copy first and only suggested when they make a query at least twice as fast.

  • Tune for this server

    PostgreSQL ships with settings for a tiny machine. One click sets them for your server's memory, CPUs and disk, with undo.

  • Logs, with private values removed

    PostgreSQL's own log in the dashboard, with values stripped on your server first, and forwarding to Datadog, Better Stack, Grafana Loki and others.

  • Security check

    Who can reach your database, tested from the internet like a stranger would, graded A to F, with one-click fixes.

Guard: a safety net for AI agents

Let AI coding agents work on your app without betting the database on it.

    Agents check that the database can be restored and save a Mark before risky changes. They can't restore, restart or change production.

    A hook saves a Mark right before commands like prisma migrate deploy or DROP TABLE, even if the agent forgot to.

  • Standby server and automatic failover

    A second server that stays in sync, for reads or to take over when the first one dies. Failover is automatic only if you turn it on. One standby per database.

  • Move to a new server

    Move a database to a bigger server or another provider with about a minute of downtime and nothing lost, with a way back.

  • Connection pooling

    Turn on PgBouncer so many app connections share a few database ones, for serverless apps or when you run out of connections.

  • Create databases and users
